Mangaluru: Chain snatchers come on bike and steal

Mangaluru, Apr 6: Two persons snatched a chain from a working woman and fled away in city.

The stolen chain worth Rs 40,000, which was weighing around two and quarter sovereign, belonged to a woman named Sarojini.

On the evening of Saturday April 4, Sarojini who worked at Lady Hill was returning to her house at Kavoor Bolpugudde after her work was over. When she got down from the bus at Mahalingeshwara temple, and started walking towards her house, two persons on a bike coming from Maryhill side appeared before her and asked for road direction to reach Yeyyadi.

When Sarojini was about to give them the direction without any suspicion, the thieves snatched the chain from her and fled away on the bike.
