United India to close FY'15 with Rs.10,620 crore premium


Chennai, April 6 (IANS): Government-owned non-life insurer United India Insurance Company Ltd., crossing its internal premium target, has earned a gross premium of around Rs.10,620 crore last fiscal, an official said on Monday.

"We expect to close last fiscal with a gross premium of around Rs.10,620 crore," general manager and financial advisor V.E. Kaimal told IANS here.

United India closed 2013-14 with a gross premium of Rs.9,709 crore and an after tax profit of Rs.527.60 crore.

According to Kaimal, the company has logged growth across all business lines.

However, the growth was more pronounced in motor and health insurance portfolios, he said.
