Road rage murder: Massive protests erupt across Delhi

April 6, 2015, agencies: After a 38-year-old man was beaten to death in a road rage case in Delhi last night, massive protests have erupted across the national capital.

The protestors have blocked the road to Delhi gate, as per TV reports.

Victim's parents are blaming local mafia for this gruesome act.

The deceased , identified as Shahnawaz, was a resident of I.P. Estate area in central Delhi.

The incident took place when he was riding on his motorbike with his family and rammed into a car near Turkman Gate in Daryaganj at around 11:30 pm yesterday, according to police.

After the accident, a heated argument broke out between Shahnawaz and the car occupants, and the latter thrashed him to death.

The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital but was declared brought dead.
Deputy Commissioner of Police Parmaditya said that they have got some information about the miscreants and they will be arrested soon.

After May 16th we have been seeing such atrocities targeted against minorities.
This is absolute mockery of democracy. What is the use of freedom in an independent nation, if one can not jump a compound wall?

In a recent study, 10% of the drivers in the U.S. are infected with the road range spirit (ABC news).

When I was travelling in New Delhi a few years back, I was quite alarmed to see the road rage through the honking-looking at each other with revenge-hitting on the windows ( my vehicle was hit likewise). In the three lane roads, five vehicles are trying to drive through. Very sad to situation. India must have mass transit system not the high crowding of the roads which will create more rage in the coming days.

Modi actually cant take action on this case, Jeetendra! ... because victim and accused both are seculars.. Modi is already frustrated with sohrabuddin/ishrat jehan encounter cases, for taking strict action against anti nationals!.. these is just gundagardi!... even in MUmbai, they actually speed up bikes and do stunts on road during eid etc and if ever questioned, they beat up police! this happened last year too! ..so Police just keeps quiet, if it is a secular area!... that is what is happening in turkman gate area too! add to it, the accused are all AAP supporters and pretty close to MLA aseem Khan! which cop want to risk his life?

Just look at the number of comments, 12-13.. you think people would have spared any chance to ridicule Modi here, n give communal color, 'we are not safe,' if things were otherwise? ... Even Media is not highlighting it because, they have no scope to ridicule modi here.. like nun rape case..

I feel bad for the dead.. may his soul RIP!

It shouldn't happen. People take advantage now a days and kill anyone. There is no talk / argument between the 2 parties if their vehicles are fully damaged due to road accidents in the developed countries.
