Bahrain: Mangalore's Pride - Ambassador Balakrishna Shetty Speaks to Daijiworld

Bahrain, Mar 3: The Indian Ambassador to Bahrain, Balakrishna Shetty, so graciously received the Daijiworld Media Network team at short notice on Thursday, in the presence of Mangalore Cultural and Charitable Association president Anand Lobo, to express his delight on having learnt of introduction of the economical AIRINDIA EXPRESS SERVICE and its inaugural flight to Mangalore from March 25, 2007.
Being a Mangalorean himself, Balakrishna Shetty was extremly happy to learn about the forthcoming first-ever direct flight to Mangalore from Bahrain. He congratulated AIRINDIA EXPRESS SERVICE on the commendable decision taken and all those who worked behind the scenes to make this economical and direct service from BAHRAIN to MANGALORE a reality. He noted with interest the decision taken to start similar direct services to other important cities in India as well.

Anand Lobo proposed to the Indian Ambassador that to mark the landmark inaugural occasion, he would shortly call for a meeting of other members of the Indian community of the region to co-ordinate on a short, colourful cultural programme in Mangalore and in Bahrain, requesting for the Ambassador's participation as well. He further mentioned there could be other important dignitaries and VIPs attending the programme in both Mangalore and Bahrain. A detailed programme will be chalked out as the date of the inaugural AIRINDIA EXPRESS inaugural service draws closer.
The ambassadaor had a special note of appreciation for Anand Lobo and his team on the grand success of recently held 'Kudlotsava' which was a traditional delight of Tulu Nadu. It is heartening to note that the ambassador is familiar with daijiworld.com and he visits the site regularly to keep in touch with Mangalore and around.
