Rajasthan eyes business from Maharashtra


Pune, April 9 (IANS): The Rajasthan government on Thursday wooed Maharashtra's businessmen to invest in the state which offers immense and diverse scope for investment opportunities.

Rajasthan's Public Health and Ground Water Minister Kiran Maheshwari addressed a business event here, showcasing the investment climate as a forerunner to the upcoming 'Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit-2015' in Jaipur on November 19-20.

She spoke about key industries like automobiles, auto-components, manufacturing, solar components manufacturing, renewable energy, minerals and electrical agro-processing.

"Pune is one of India's foremost industrial hubs... Many companies in our key focus verticals are based here so it was natural first stop in our pan-India tour to invite investments," Maheshwari told the media.

She said the Resurgent Rajasthan Partnership Summit will be a global event bringing together leading investors from all over the world for interactions with the political leadership and complements Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje's vision to transform the state through "inclusive and comprehensive development".

Besides, Maheshwari attended special one-on-one meetings with the top brass of companies like Kirloskar, Asahi Infrastructure, Kalyani Steels and John Deere India.
