Udupi, Mar 5: The DCIB police led by inspector C E Thimmaih have arrested 5 persons for smuggling and sale of tiger and leopard skin at Shiriyar near here.
The arrested have been identified as Ashok Hegde (28), Ravi Poojary (24), Charan Hegde (25), Balachandra Nayak (34) and Sadananda Poojary (26).
The DCIB police have seized 2 leopard pelt, a motor cycle, a tiger hide and cell phones from the arrested.
