Mangalore, Mar 6: Father Muller Medical College Hospital here will observe World Kidney Day on Thursday March 8, stated a press release.

The programme will be inaugurated at 9.30 am in the Silver Jubilee Hall at the hospital premises. There will be screening for early signs of kidney-related problems free of cost.

The purpose is to create awareness about the importance of kidneys and to spread the message that kidney disease is common, harmful and treatable. Detection of early signs of chronic kidney disease is simple and can prevent permanent damage, the release stated.
