Mumbai, Mar 8: Konkani Bhasha Mandal, Maharashtra has organized a get-together for Konkani theatre artists here. The get-together will be held on Sunday March 25 at 4.30 pm at Gyan Ashram.
The following theatre stalwarts will be the guests for the programme :
Vijay Kumar Shetty (actor, writer and director - Tulu ) - Kala Jagattu Group
Chandrashekar Shenoy (actor and director) - Triveni Kala Sangam Group
Tony Martin ( organizer of prince Jacob's dramas in Mumbai)
Sunny A D'Souza (writer and director) - Konkan Theatre group
As TV serials have invaded the lives of people, theatre art is slowly dying in all languages. The effect on Konkani language is much more. To discuss this situation and to set up an action plan to popularize the Konkani theatre art, the Konkani Bhasha Mandal has organized this get-together.
The programme is open to all and there is no entry fee.
