Mumbai, Mar 12: The selection process has begun for this year's prestigious Femina Miss India contest. As reported earlier, Pantaloons, Indian's leading fashion brand has come forward as the title sponsors, and thus the pageant has been named 'Pantaloons Femina Miss India'
The event calls for unmarried girls between the age group of 18 to 25 (as on January 31, 2007) to live their dream of a sparkling career in the field of fashion and provides them with a stepping stone to international recognition. The entries for the event, this year closed on March 4, 2007.
As a preliminary selection process, beautiful girls from South and West Zones met face-to-face at Mumbai and exhibited their skills on the ramp.
The results of the second round of selection will be announced next week.
