Mangalore, Mar 12: In view of the approaching SSLC examinations scheduled to begin from Wednesday March 21, the district administration has formed vigilance squads in order to prevent malpractices.

While the squad in the city will be headed by deputy commissioner M Maheshwar Rao, the taluk-level squad will be chaired by MCC Commissioner Dr Chandrappa Poojary. The squads will comprise of various officials of the district administration.

Similar squads have been formed in Puttur, Moodbidri headed by Moodbidri and Bantwal headed by their respective assistant commissioners. Puttur assistant commissioner will also head the Sullia and Beltangady vigilant squads.

Each squad will comprise of various district officials.

The squads will submit reports during the course of the examinations to deputy commissioner.
