Mangalore, Mar 14: The week-long programmes held as part of the 36th National Safety Day at Mangalore Refinery and Petrochemicals Limited
(MRPL) drew to an end on Monday March 12.

Speaking on the occasion, deputy director of factories M N Jakkanavar lauded the efforts of put in by MRPL in creating awareness about
safety among its employees, workers and community members. The programme was presided over by MRPL managing director R Rajamani.

The event had been inaugurated on Monday March 5 by Jakkanavar by unfurling the National Safety flag followed by distribution of safety
badges to employees. Apart from training programmes, several competitions and events were also held as part of the celebrations.

Among those present at the valedictory were senior fire officer B G Shetty, associate vice-president (operations) R G Chichgar and others.
