Mangalore, Mar 15: A workshop on "Law and Gender Equality" was held in Lions Seva Mandir at Mallikatta near here on Wednesday March 14.
The workshop was organized on the occasion of international women's day and was inaugurated by Prof K Sudha Rao, vice-chancellor of Karnataka Open University, Mysore.
The inaugural function was presided over the district judge H M Bharatesh. Bar association president K Monappa Bhandary, former Lions district Governor Kripa Amar Alva, deputy director of women and child development department Gertrude Veigas were also present on the occasion. Dr Kishori Nayak delivered lecture on the occasion.
