Mangalore, Mar 17: According to a press release by superintendent of police B Dayananda, owners of houses and vehicles will now be required to obtain the details with photograph of people who will occupy the house on rent or buy the house or vehicle.  The same will have to be informed to the jurisdictional police station.

The DK district police have introduced this move to keep a check on the increasing criminal activities and terrorism throughout the country.  This rule will remain in effect up to May 5, 2007.

The release further stated that people who are involved in such activities mostly acquire vehicles and houses on rent, which eases them to carry out criminal acts.
