Bangalore, Mar 17: The Postal Department in co-ordination with two NGOs launched new help line service for harassed children in rural areas.

Child Rights Trust and Karnataka State Child Welfare Council are the two NGOs who have joined hands with the postal department to reach out. They will distribute these inland letters along with other sub groups, in all the districts.

These letters will also be placed at various NGOs where the child can collect them.

There is no refined system for children to complain about the problems they are facing be it at school or at home. Children suffer problems silently unable to talk about their conditions.

The inland letter service launched by the Postal department will enable children from rural areas to share their problems and timely counselling and guidance will be made available for them.

This project will enable children to maintain anonymity, and still encourage them to share their problems, said Vasudev Sharma.
