Dubai, Mar 17: Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates organised a picnic at Mamzar park Dubai on 16th  March 2006 as part of their 10th anniversary celebration.
 
Cloudy weather and gusty winds did not hamper the spirit of around 300 and odd billawas who had gathered at the park. It was a fascinating get together were the Billawas from all the Emirates had come together to share the joy of strong bondage.



The Abu Dhabi Billawa Balaga members were received with bouquet by Anup Kumar and Billawas Dubai members.
 
The programe started with a prayer. Umesh Kuckian President of Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates welcomed the gathering. A minute silence was observed in memory of late Umesh Nanthoor, late Sadanand Suvarna and late Sumeet Kuckian.
 
The Colourful programme was inaugurated by  Sujay Bendoor and his wife Smitha. After inaugurating Sujay Bendoor and Family presented a  Flower Bouquet on the occassion of 10th  year to President Umesh Kuckian and his wife Prasanna. 



The fun started with the splitting of the large gathering into four groups which was named as Mangalore,  Mumbai, Udupi and Karkala. Various games like Dog and the Bone,Dodging the Ball,Potato race and Basketing the ball were oraganised  for all the age groups .
 
K.A. Rohini  (Honarary President Mahila Okkoota, Mangalore and General Secretary Akila Bharat Billawara Mahila Sangha), was the special guest for the programme. She appreciated the efforts and the services rendered by the Billawas Dubai and Northern Emirates for the community members in U.A.E as well in India, She advised all members to keep up the good work and said she was happy to be part of this lovely programme.
 
Delicious lunch was served to all in the afternoon.




The spirits of the crowd was very high even in the afternoon , The afternoon session also continued with games  and some of the members entertained the crowd with filmi dance . The program concluded with a  bingo game.





Mumbai group bagged the first place and the runners up was Mangalore.
 
Yogitha Salian, and Madav Poojary organized the games. All the games were played in good spirit and all the appreciation goes to the committee members.
