Indian equities open lower, trading flat


Mumbai, April 29 (IANS): Indian equities opened lower and were trading in a flat trajectory in the early hours of the session on Wednesday, after a benchmark index had ended in the green the day before following a 6.5-percent loss during the preceding 10 sessions.

The sensitive index (Sensex) of the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) opened at 27395.71 points, a tad lower than the previous close at 27,396.38 points.

It soon fell further to 27,287.41 points, and was ruling at 27,409.07 points, up 12.69 points or 0.05 percent at 9.30 a.m.

At the National Stock Exchange (NSE), the Nifty was virtually unchanged at 8,285.55 points.
