India-Nepal flights fully booked: Officials


New Delhi, May 2 (IANS): Flights to Nepal from India are fully booked and operating under normal conditions, officials said on Saturday.

Air India is operating three connecting flights to Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport from Mumbai and Varanasi.

Connecting flights originating from Mumbai, AI 101 and AI 888, will depart for Kathmandu via Delhi through AI 213 and Jet Airways flight 9W 264.

The passengers from Varanasi flight, AI 1405, will take the next day's flight AI 213 to

Kathmandu as per normal schedule. All flights are on schedule.

Similar is the case with return flights from Kathmandu.

IndiGo airlines' connecting flight from Chennai, 6E 652, departed on time at 5.40 a.m. in the morning and reached Delhi at 8.15 a.m.

Passengers to Kathmandu from Delhi in flight 6E 31 departed at 11.05 a.m. and arrived in Kathmandu at 1.05 p.m.

Jet Airways is operating three connecting flights to Nepal from Mumbai and all are on schedule.
Earlier in the day, the direct Jet Airways flight from Mumbai to Kathmandu reached on time, departing at 10.58 a.m. and arriving at 1.40 p.m.

The return flight from Kathmandu to Delhi departed on time but arrived 15 minutes late. The second return flight, 9W 261, from Kathmandu to Delhi departed at 4.45 p.m. and is scheduled to arrive in Delhi at 6.15 p.m.

SpiceJet airlines special flight, SG 8451, from Delhi to Kathmandu was delayed by an hour as excess relief material had to be removed, officials said.

It was scheduled to depart at 4.15 a.m. but left at 5:15 a.m., while the other flight SG 45 saw no delay and was on time.

Most return flights are on schedule without any delay, officials said.
