Hot Monday in Delhi, Tuesday to be similar


New Delhi, May 4 (IANS): It was a sunny and hot Monday in the national capital with the maximum temperature settling at 39.5 degrees Celsius, one notch above the season's average. Similar weather is likely on Tuesday, the Met Office said.

According to the India Meteorological Department, on Tuesday, the sky will remain clear and the maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to hover around 40 and 22 degrees Celsius.

Monday's minimum temperature was recorded at 22 degrees Celsius - three notches below the season's average while the day's maximum humidity was recorded at 76 percent.

Sunday's maximum temperature settled 38.9 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the season while the minimum temperature was recorded at 21.7 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season's average.
