IS hacks St. Vincent government Web site

San Juan, May 5 (IANS): Hackers claiming to represent Islamic State (IS) terrorist organisation commandeered the official Web site of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines government to post a message accusing US and NATO Forces of "organised butchery."

Visitors to the Web site -- www.gov.vc -- were greeted late on Sunday by a message saying "Hacked By Moroccanwolf -- Islamic State" and a photo of a man firing a heavy-caliber machine gun from the back of a pick-up truck, reports Efe.

Moroccanwolf posted a message saying that the US and NATO engages in the overthrow and subversion of governments of sovereign nations.

The government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines has not commented on the hack.

IS, which controls an extensive swath of territory in Iraq and Syria, proclaimed a caliphate in June 2014 and actively seeks recruits from around the world.
