Mangalore, Mar 22: A multi-centric study on ‘Effectiveness of Primary Education in Dakshina Kannada District’ will be conducted by College for Leadership and Human Resource Development (CLHRD) as per the directives of District Institute for Education and Training.

A press release stated that the study will help gauge the primary education scenario in the district and will also take in to account the opinions of people from different sections of the society which will in turn point out the areas of strength and defects in the system.

The study is a result of the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER) by Pratham, an NGO, which had stated that the primary education in the state was not satisfactory.

Last month a workshop was held in this regard for preparing survey schedules. The study will take opinions of people from almost all occupations, the release stated.
