Mangalore, Mar 22: Training on lifeguard methods is being conducted by Ranganath Hatti, a US-based trainer at Mangala Aquatic Club here on Thursday March 22 and Friday March 23.

The training held under the auspices of Indian Aquatic Club is directed at training people on various life-saving skills in times of danger. 

Ranganath Hatti was born in Mysore and he learnt swimming at the tender of age of 3.  For the last 30 years he has been residing in USA.  He is a certified NIS trainer and has been training people all over on life saving skills.

At present he is on a mission of holding these lifeguard trainings in various places of the state.  He would be moving further to Chikamagalur, Bangalore and other locations in the coming days in order to train people.
