Mangalore, Mar 23: In response to the decision taken by Sports Authority of India (SAI) to set up a training centre at city’s Mangala Stadium, U Srinivas Mallya Indoor Stadium Action Force will stage a protest in front of the deputy commissioner’s office here on Friday March 23 at 4.30 pm.
A press release stated that the move will facilitate sportspersons from other states and regions while denying access to locals.
Hundreds of sportspersons will take part in the silent protest.
A memorandum addressed to the governor, the chief minister and other officials will be submitted to the deputy commissioner on the occasion, the release stated.
