Stanadyne Amalgamations to invest Rs.100 crore


Chennai, May 6 (IANS): Diesel and gasoline fuel systems maker Stanadyne Amalgamations Pvt. Ltd. will invest Rs.100 crore at its plant near here and also introduce a new product for engines below 50 HP, a company official said on Wednesday.

The company is a joint venture between US-based Stanadyne and Chennai-based Amalgamations group.

"We will be investing Rs.100 crore over the next two years to expand the capacity of our plant," its managing director Sanjay Chadda told IANS.

He said the company has also invented diesel fuel systems specially for engines below 50 HP which after necessary certifications are expected to hit the market in 12 months.

The new fuel injection system would result in high fuel economy, and save around Rs.15,000 per year in the farm application.
