Kundapur, Mar 24: A housewife from Kedur Badabettu was knocked down to death by a running train at Kedur Badabettu here on Friday March 23.
The deceased has been identified as Bhagirathi (40), wife of Madhav Shetty. So far it is not known as which of the trains knocked her down. But it is presumed that she might have been run-over by a passenger train which passes in the morning. It is said that she was crossing the railway lines when she was hit by train.
Her husband Mahdav Shetty is a teacher in Belve school. The couple also has two daughters. The police have registered a case in this regard.
