Two die as police officer opens fire at brother-in-law's marriage


Bhind, May 7 (IANS): Two people died from accidental gunshot wounds when a sub-inspector opened fire from his service revolver during the wedding ceremony of his brother-in-law at Ambedkar Nagar in Madhya Pradesh's Bhind district.

"On Wednesday night, Anand was present to celebrate his brother-in-law's wedding. During the ceremony, he opened fire from his service revolver which accidentally killed two and left two others critically injured. The injured have been taken to Gwalior hospital for treatment," Indraveer Singh Bhadauria, officer-in-charge of Dehat police station told IANS.

"Police have arrested the accused and his revolver has also been seized. Further investigations are going on," added Indraveer.
