Rons Bantwal for Daijiworld Media Network – Mumbai (AF)

Mumbai, Mar 26: Karnataka Sangha Mumbai organized a two-day symposium on the affect of globalization on literature and culture at the Sangha’s Vishweshwarayya hall in Matunga here on Saturday March 24 and Sunday March 25.

The symposium, organized as part of the Suvarna Karnataka Utsava and the Karnataka Rajyotsava awards celebrations, was inaugurated by renowned critic Dr C N Ramachandran.

The programme was presided over by Sangha president Manohar M Kori. There was poetry recital by Shyamala Prakash and dance performance by Vidya Shimladka depicting Ramayana Darshanam.

Sangha vice-president Bharatkumar Polipu and joint secretary Shaila N Murthy were present on the dais. Honorary chief secretary Omdas Kannangar compered while Sangha executive committee member GD Joshi welcomed the gathering.

Association honorary treasurer B G Nayak proposed the vote of thanks.
