Mumbai Indians opt to bat against Chennai Super Kings


Mumbai, May 19 (IANS): Mumbai Indians (MI) skipper Rohit Sharma won the toss and elected to bat against Chennai Super Kings in an Indian Premier League (IPL) 2015 qualifier 1 at the Wankhede Stadium here on Tuesday.

While Mumbai fielded an unchanged side from the last game, Chennai replaced Brendon McCullum and Ishwar Pandey with Dwayne Smith and Mohit Sharma, respectively.

The teams:

MI: Rohit Sharma (captain), Lendl Simmons, Parthiv Patel, Ambati Rayudu, Kieron Pollard, Hardik Pandya, Harbhajan Singh, Jagadeesha Suchith, R. Vinay Kumar, Mitchell McClenaghan, Lasith Malinga.

CSK: Mahendra Singh Dhoni (captain), Dwayne Smith, Michael Hussey, Suresh Raina, Francois du Plessis, Ravindra Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Pawan Negi, Ravichandran Ashwin, Ashish Nehra, Mohit Sharma.
