Two soldiers injured in Kashmir gunfight


Srinagar, May 19 (IANS): Two soldiers were injured in a gun battle on Tuesday between the security forces and separatist guerrillas in Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir, an official said.

The gunfight broke out between the militants and the joint security forces team of the army's Rashtriya Rifles and police in Haff Shirmal village in the afternoon, a police officer told IANS.

The militants fired at the security forces, that resulted in injuries to two soldiers.

The gun battle was still going on.
