Mongolia more fortunate than Maharashtra: Shiv Sena

Mumbai, May 20 (PTI): Shiv Sena today criticised Prime Minister Narendra Modi's announcement of a credit line of USD 1 billion to Mongolia and asked why he can't show the same eagerness to help the distressed farmers of Maharashtra reeling under debt.

The move, Sena said, will only aggravate the pain of the farmers' soul who have committed suicide in the recent past.

"The PM has announced a USD 1 billion aid to Mongolia, so that relations between the two countries can be further cemented. The PM has taken moral responsibility for development of this small nation. But, this is not a small amount. This will only aggravate the pain of souls of farmers who have committed suicide," the Sena said in an editorial in its mouthpiece 'Saamana'. The NDA Government's ally at the Centre said Modi has announced credit to a foreign country at a time when hapless farmers, who are reeling under debt from banks and private moneylenders are waiting for financial aid from government.

"We can call Mongolia more fortunate than Maharashtra to have received aid from India because our PM has shown them the financial soundness of the country by giving away such a huge amount," it said.

Sena also questioned the motive of the Prime Minister and asked why can't he show the same eagerness to help the distressed farmers of the state. "What was the need for such a huge amount for Mongolia at a time when Indian currency is falling against the US dollar? Why can't the PM now show the same eagerness to help farmers of Maharashtra and those being affected by his dream of starting a nuclear energy plant in Jaitapur?," it said.

During his recent visit to Mongolia, Modi had on Sunday announced that India will provide a Line of Credit of USD 1 billion to support expansion of Mongolia's economic capacity and infrastructure.

when our ashamed PM will end such waste abroad trips. Instead he should visit all the places in India where he uses to beg for vote. All of us know that he cant bring magical reforms in short period but least he can thanks them by visiting again to those poor voters and assure them of good governance while he is in power.

first of all people should get more knowledge about what it means giving 1 billion dollar to Mongolia?.it doesn't mean giving cash to that country,it is only extension of letter of credit for 30 days more which in turn give india more business in terms of multiple times of billions.

    Do anybody follow Arnav…,

His approach is - first narrate (cook up & build up) a story and set the platform to destabilize, direct & deviate the viewers understanding, thinking & wisdom to suit his hidden object (i.e., to defame). I don’t say that he is in the pay list of BJP but one thing is for sure he is anti congress (probably b’coz he lost to Congi spokespersons many times during debate).

In my view he is not worthy of calling as an independent intelligent journalist for his biased prime time news anchoring (I have no hesitation to say that Congi lost 2014 general election due to TV Media).
    Bottom line,
I don’t stop watching Arnav prime time news hour, coz it is more of an entertainment than a debate (good for health before go to bed)

Sometimes, I wonder what is going on in our country. One side, Modi is doling Billions of dollar credit line to other countries and on the other, Bajpe Airport which requires urgent up-gradation is kept in abeyance due to finance and Govt is asking NRI help, the amount required is 40 Million dollars.

They say, mothers do not give milk to babies till they cry. I heard in a company in Gulf the Management and staff houses were having AC, but not in domestic worker camp. When company started a Kennel Club and dogs were in AC, a domestic helper told the company about their flight. Next day, the company issued work order to put AC to domestic camp.

What I want to bring home here is our elected representatives should bring this Bajpe matter to our Central Govt. Charity begins at home.

Indian banks are under distress during the last year NPAs in all most all banks are all time high as much as 5% and net NPA 2-3%,coporates are showing signs of slow down in business/profit,cost of essential have seen sharp increase.Petrol/diesel cost increased recently sharply which will further aggravate the depression in economic activity/increase in essentials and common man is the target.Nobody to ask farmers woes and suicide is the only left out option for him.We have introduced Jana dhan yojana whcih will not have any tangible benefits except harassment for already suffered/humiliated bankers.Their wage revision due for 1st Nov 2012 is still pending inspite of MOU already signed by United Bank Unions soon going stale by not implementing it within 90 days.In totality common man is at the receiving end in all matters. This is the picture in nut shell.Still we are showing the world that we the great people of a great nation........rightly said as 'suit boot ki sarkar'......
