Mangalore, Apr 5: Look to the skies for some spectacular maneuvering of metal birds on April 8. The Indian Air Force along with Dakshina Kannada district administration has made all preparations for the city’s first air show at Panambur beach on Sunday.

Briefing press persons on the same, Deputy Commissioner M Maheshwar Rao said that two shows will be held on Sunday. The half an hour duration shows which are free of cost will be held from 8.15 am to 8.45 am. The second session will be from 3.30 pm to 4 pm.

The first air show in the city will be presented by Suryakiran Formation Aerobatic Team of the IAF to commemorate the platinum jubilee celebrations of the IAF.

The beach will be cleared of all stalls and eateries.

District-in-charge minister B Nagaraj Shetty will inaugurate the show.

Wing Commander Sandeep Bansal will be the Commanding Officer of the team consisting of 27 officers and 95 personnel. After the second show, a music programme ‘beach melody’ will be held.
