Mangalore, Apr 5: Jamaat-e-Islami-Hind youth wing will organise a youth convention at the NGO Hall here on Friday April 6 at 4 pm, said wing convener Mohammed Kunhi while addressing a press meet here on Tuesday April 3.
He said that the convention will focus on issues like education, environment and human rights and about 2,000 people are expected to attend the convention.
The convention will begin with a rally which will pass through A B Shetty Circle, Hamilton Circle and Rao and Rao Circle and terminate at NGO Hall.
Solidarity Youth Movement (Kerala) advisory board member Mohammed Shameem, Ishavittaldas Swamiji of Sri Kshetra Kemaru, human rights activist Shivasundar, Goan environmentalist Claud Alvares, Jamaat-e-Islami-Hind vice-president Isaac Puttur and Nagarjuna Virodhi Horata Samiti chief Vijaykumar Hegde will speak at the convention, Kunhi said.
