Kasargod: Gang loots cash from chicken trader

Kasargod, May 21: A gang of 8 persons has looted cash from a chicken trader and his assistant.

The cash looted was Rs 1, 23,000. The gang also took away a mobile phone from the victims.

The victims are identified as Abdul Salam (34) from Kanathila and his assistant Ibrahim (34) from Karopady. The incident took place on Tuesday, May 18 night.

As per details, the duo was travelling in a van after closing the shop. A gang of 8 persons arrived in 4 bikes and stopped the van. The victims were assaulted and then the assaulters took the cash and mobile from them.

The victims who were injured have been admitted to Kumble district hospital.

Kumble police have registered a case regarding the matter.
