Mangalore, Apr 5: Local traders have urged Mangalore City Corporation (MCC) to complete the widening and concreting of Jyoti-Hampankatta road soon.

The work was started with the assurance of completing it within a month. For this purpose, the road between Jyoti and Hampankatta was closed way back in February. Hence, traders along this road have suffered loss in business to a large extent. The loss has been so much that many of the traders are now unable to pay the installments of their debts.

The traders submitted a memorandum in this regard urging the Corporation commissioner to complete the work at the earliest.

With the approaching rainy season, the traders are worried about suffering huge losses in business, they stated in the memorandum.
