Mangalore, Apr 6: Book lovers of the city had a reason to rejoice with the mobile book store ‘Jnana Degula’ being launched at Town Hall here on Thursday April 5. The book store has been introduced by city’s Sahitya Kendra book centre.

Speaking after inaugurating the mobile book store, senior journalist and writer Babu Krishnamurthy lamented the decline in reading habit among the people. He further said the young generation has been swayed by the electronic media which has nullified the habit of reading books.

The programme was presided over by Corporation Bank deputy general manager Kishore Shanbhog.

The mobile book store will move from door-to-door and interested readers will get their favourite books delivered to their doorsteps.
