M'luru: Prakash Payyar's Tulu anthology to be released on May 23

Mangaluru, May 22: Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy and Dhwani Prathishtana will be releasing the compilation of Tulu poems 'Uretha Kannudha Siri' written by Prakash Rao Payyar on Saturday May 23 at Tulu Sahitya Academy.

Alva's Education Institution president Dr M Mohan Alva will be releasing the book. Tulu Sahitya Academy president Janaki Brahmavar will be presiding on the occasion.This was revealed by Paramananda V Salian at a press meet here on Friday May 22.

Mangalore University professor Dr K Chinnappa Gowda, businessman Suresh Shetty Gurme, NSS state officer Dr Gananath Yekkar, Puttur Sahitya Parishad, Dr Varadha Raj Chandragiri will be present at the function.

Prakash Payyar speaking at the meet said, “Dhwani Prathishtana has been serving in the field of Kannada literature for the past 30 years mainly in Dubai. This is his first Kannada poem compilation to be released.  The compilation comprises of 50 poems which have been written in the past.
