Mangalore, Apr 6: A rally and a convention were organized by the youth wing of Jama’at e-Islami Hind on Friday, April 6 to stress on the re-establishment of justice in the country.
The rally commenced from the Mangalore taluk office and wound by the A B Shetty circle and State Bank of India. Thousands of youth participated in the rally. The convention was held in the N G O hall near the Taluk Office.
Shri Isha Vithaldas Swamiji of Kemar Math was the chief guest. Eminent environmentalist Claude Alvares from Goa, Muhammad Shamim of Kerala Solidarity Youth Movement, columnist and human rights activist Shivasundar Das from Bangalore, Nagarjuna Virodhi Samiti president Vijay Kumar Hegde, Mangalore Youth Wing Coordinator Muhammad Kunhi, Mangalore Jama’at-e-Islami Hind vice president Ishaq Puttur were on the dais.
The speakers spoke on the perils faced by the nation’s culture, unity, environment etc. and the need to fight unitedly against forces of disruption.
