Beltangady, Apr 7: An inter-religion convention will be organised as part of the Kajoor Uroos at Ujire here on Sunday April 22, informed Uroos Samiti president B A Yusuf while addressing a press meet here on Thursday April 5.

The convention will be inaugurated by chief minister H D Kumaraswamy. The chief guests on the occasion will be Tax Reforms Commission chairperson M Veerappa Moily, PWD minister H D Revanna, labour minister Iqbal Ansari, former minister C M Ibrahim, Minority Development Board president Anwar Manipady,  MLA K Prabhakar Bangera and district in-charge minister B Nagaraj Shetty, Yusuf said.

MSM Abdul Rasheed Kamil will deliver a talk on the occasion.

The Uroos will begin from Friday April 13 and will be marked by religious discourse on every evening by Sufi saints and ulemas from various parts of the state.

Special bus services will be provided for the benefit of devotees who would like to take part in the Uroos, Yusuf informed.
