Udupi, Apr 7: The land reserved for the DC’s complex (district administrative complex) near Manipal here is now free of legal conflict and Rs 12 crore has been allotted by the government for the construction of the building.
This was announced by state revenue minister Jagadeesh Shetter after distributing the title deeds to the sixty families, residing beside the beach at Malpe, Kola, Hanuman Nagar and Padukere. He also said that the title deeds to 234 beneficiaries would be distributed by the end of June.
District-in-charge minister Dr V S Acharya said that the government has allowed the Rs 5 crore to take up desilting at Malpe, Heamadi, Tadadi, and Honnavar fisheries harbors to make them safe for fishing. He also said that another Rs 5 crore have been allowed in the budget for the same.
