Jayalalithaa's swearing-in: It was all in green

Chennai, May 23 (IANS): The colour green dominated J. Jayalalithaa's swearing-in as the Tamil Nadu chief minister on Saturday as her saree, the ring on her finger and the backdrop of the stage were all in green.

Jayalalithaa wore a dark green colour saree for the occasion and had a ring with a big green stone. She signed with a green-coloured pen after being sworn-in.

Her close aide Sasikala too wore a green-coloured saree.

It was not immediately clear why all this was in green.
