Kundapur, April 8: Illegal country fire arms were seized by the police at the Naxal-in affected areas of Kundapur taluk on Saturday April 8.
The arms were seized at Ajri village of Kundapur taluk.
Heriya Achari, Subbanna Pujari, Dayananda Kulal and Narasinha Mogavira have been arrested in this regard.
A few others involved in the racket are said to be absconding. Udupi district crime investigation police have pursued this operation and seized 7 country fire arms from the accused.
A case has been registered at Shankaranarayana police station. Investigations are being carried on to ascertain if the accused have possibly sold the firearms to the Naxals.
