Mangalore, Apr 8: Vijay Kumar, a driver who had been charged by his employer U Kanachur Monu of having stolen Rs 2 lac from the owners car, was traced in Udupi on Saturday, April 7 and brought to Pandeshwar police station on Sunday morning April 8.
The stolen amount of Rs 2 lac and a Bajaj Pulsar bike have been seized from the accused. Speaking to Daijiworld, inspector Venkatesh Prasanna said foreign currency belonging to 7-8 different countries also was found in his possession.
Only a couple of days ago, a case had been filed at the Pandeshwar police station by an well-known entrepreneur Kanachur Monu, alleging that Vijay Kumar, working with him as car driver, had stolen the cash.
Pandeshwara policemen Manohar and Santosh arrested the accused from Summer Park lodge at Udupi.
