Doha, April 9: Mangalore Cricket Club (MCC), Qatar, celebrated the annual Easter get together at the Clubhouse of Al Alandalus Compound on Sunday, April 8, 2007.

Over one hundred people attended this event and was open to members only.

The turnout was understandably low in view of the fact that both Easter Sunday and the subsequent day are regular working days for people. Community events like this are an excellent opportunity to interact and relate to fellow community members.

The opening prayer was led by Gladys D’Silva.  Ronald Rodrigues, as the emcee, held the audience’s attention with his humor and enthusiasm. Games were conducted by Riana Pinto and Joyce Alvares. President Norbert Corda proposed the vote of thanks. Special thanks was rendered to a committee member, who wished to remain anonymous, for having sponsored the expenses of all the children present and thus were not charged any entry fee.

The President also thanked the Committee members for their dedication and all members of MCC for supporting the events organized by the club.
