Bantwal, Apr 9: Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza of Mangalore blessed and inaugurated the newly-constructed Loretto Matha Sabha Bhavan at Loretto near here on Sunday April 8 evening.

He also presided over the stage programme which was held later.  District-in-charge minister Nagaraj Shetty who was the chief guest of the function released the souvenir while Modankap parish priest Fr Roque D'Sa honoured the donors.

Bishop Aloysius Paul D'Souza honoured all those have helped in various ways in the construction of the auditorium.

Former transport minister Ramanath Rai, DK Congress general secretary Dolphy Prashanth D'Souza, ZP president Sushma Janardhan, Congress leader Harikrishna Bantwal, Santhosh Kumar Bhandari, Flossy D'Souza and Sadashiv Poojary were the chief guests on the occasion.

Parish priest Fr Cyprian Pinto presented mementos to the guests.  Parish council vice-president Walter Noronha welcomed the gathering while secretary Joe Coelho proposed the vote of thanks.

Cyprian D'Souza and Nisha Lobo compered the programme.  The programme concluded with Tulu drama 'Anchila Ath Inchila Ath' by Navid D Padil and his troupe.
