Mangalore, Apr 9: Former JD (S) district president K Vasant Bangera said that, he would resign from primary membership of JD (S) and quit the party within a week. But he did not clear whether he would join Congress or not.

Speaking at a press meet at Hotel Woodlands here on Monday April 9, he said that media has published the report that he has been suspended from JD (S). “But I have not received any such letter from the high command.  Hence I would wait for a week to get the suspension order and to reply for it. But there is no second word in quitting JD (S),” he cleared.

Commenting about the allegations done by the ZP vice-president Rajashree Hegde he said that Rajashree even lost in the panchayat election. “I would like to remind here that she won Laila ZP seat because of Vasant Bangera. So it would be much better if she prefers to keep her lips locked,” he warned.

He also alleged that criminals are selected as JD (S) office-bearers in the district. The ideology of great Jayaprakash Narayan, on whose name JD (S) has been built is fully sidelined, he lamented.

Mentioning the resistance shown by the Congress leader Gangadhara Gowda about Bangera to join Congress, he questioned that, he had not knocked the doors of Congress. Why is he scared about him?

Farook Ullal, Srinivas Shetty, D M Aslam, Dinesh Kumpala, Shaukat Ali Konaje, Ajit Kumar Ullal were also present at the press meet.
