Mangaluru: Murder attempt - gang attacks, injures man with swords

Mangaluru, May 26: A gang attacked a person named Mohan alias Tikki Mohan as he was having his tea near a milk parlour located beside Lady Goschen Hospital here on Sunday May 24 with swords.

Mohan said he was attacked by a gang comprising of Pradeep, Chappetani Rahim, Altaf, and two others. "Two of them swung swords at my head, while the other two hit me on my right arm and near the small finger of my left hand. When I shouted for help and tried to flee, they injured my back with a sword. As people started gathering at the spot, they fled from there. I jumped into the compound of Lady Goschen Hospital and came to Wenlock Hospital with the help of the public on a motor bike, and got admitted as an in-patient," he stated.

In his complaint filed at Bunder station, Mohan said that the accused are known to him and that they had planned to eliminate him to settle some pre-existing enmity.
