Mangalore, Apr 10: Catholic Sabha Cordel unit celebrated its eleventh anniversary in a unique way on Sunday April 8.

 The programme commenced at 6 with the Catholic Sabha group song followed by prayer dance worshiping the Resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Walter D’Souza, ex-president of Catholic Sabha central committee was the chief guest.  Marrriet Pinto, president of Catholic Sabha Cordel unit welcomed the gathering.  Secretary Alban Pinto presented the annual report.  Prizes were distributed to the winners of elocution competition conducted by Catholic Sabha during the Year. 

The outgoing president Marriet Pinto handed over the charge to newly-elected president Sushil Noronha.  Parish pries Fr Lawrence D’Souza delivered the spiritual message. 

Walter D’Souza in his speech applauded the Cordel unit every success in their achievements. 

Joint secretary Mildred Noronha proposed the vote of thanks.  Later a cultural programme was arranged.  Super-hit Konkani drama ‘Mamma Retire Zatha’ was staged as part of the evening.
