Bantwal, Apr 10: A habitual drinker who was living alone in his house at Neerkaje near Kepu of Vittal here was found dead in his house on Monday April 9.  It is said that it is a well-planned murder.  Several wounds on his body too suggest this theory.

The deceased man has been identified as Anni Poojary (54), a resident of Neerkaje. He was a habitual drinker and was also involved in several criminal activities.  He had several cases filed against him for various reasons.

Owing to these reasons his wife and children were living separately for sometime now.  He had a son and daughter who are living with their mother and have almost cut-off all relationship with Anni.

Recently he had stabbed local anaganwadi worker Jayanti about which a case was filed in Vittal police station.  Despite all these developments, Anni had not mended his ways.

On Monday his neighbours informed the police after he had come out of his house for couple of days.  So when the police came and entered the house, they found Anni dead.  He had several wounds on his chest, head and other parts of body.

As of now it is suspected that he might have been beaten to death by those who had problems with him or by those who had been troubled by Anni.  Vittal police have registered a case in this regard.
