Sullia, Apr 11: Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) P K Sen was in Subrahmanya here on Tuesday April 10 to inspect the completed track, thus rekindling hope of early commencement Mangalore-Bangalore passenger train service.

Though a meeting between the CRS and media persons had been arranged at Nettal here, Sen left for Sakleshpur without addressing the press.

Sen studied the track and the safety factors at Sakleshpur, all the way to Donigal, Edakumeri and Siribagilu.

His report on the inspection will decide the possibility as well as the date of commencement of the train.
