Mangalore, Apr 11: Prasad Adhyayana Samuha in association with Seva Samsthe and Prasad Guidelines will host ‘Vaishaka Chinnara Mela 2007’ at Bejai-Kapikad here from Thursday April 12 to Wednesday April 18.
A press release stated that on the same days, ‘Vaishaka Mahileyara Mahonnata Mela 2007’ for women will also be held at Prasad Guidelines, Bunts Hostel here.
Chinnara Mela will include programmes for children like training in Carnatic classical vocal, mime show, leadership, yoga, drawing, mask making, caricatures, health, memory techniques, collage, puppet show, children’s drama and folk dance.
The event for women will see such programmes as courses on fabric painting, mehendi designs, rangoli, vegetable garnishing, screen printing, cotton designs and artificial flower making.
Messrs M B Shetty, Mumbai, H V Nirmala, Ramachandra Rao, Keertan Shetty, Murari, Prakash Nayak Bolur, Rohini M P, Shimoga and others are expected to participate as the resource persons, the release stated.
