Sanaa, May 28 (IANS): At least 40 people died and hundreds were injured in six airstrikes by the Saudi-led coalition against Special Security Forces barracks, controlled by Houthi rebels, in the center of the Yemeni capital, Sanaa.
Houthi sources told Efe on Wednesday that coalition strikes have also destroyed the military port and brigade headquarters of the Coastal Forces in the city of al-Hudayda (Red Sea coast), in the hands of Houthis, destroying a Yemeni military vessel and damaging another, but so far it is unknown whether there are casualties.
One of the attacks mistakenly hit the Faculty of Medicine of the University of al-Hudayda, killing four security guards, a student told Efe.
In Sanaa, the Houthi-controlled Yemeni news agency Saba reported that airstrikes targeted the main barracks of the Special Security Forces, leaving behind 40 dead and more than 100 injured.
